This easy homemade bread is soft on the inside, lightly crisp on the outside, and made with the simplest pantry ingredients. No kneading, no eggs, no butter — just affordable, everyday bread you can make anytime.
Ingredients
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1½ tsp salt
• 1 tsp sugar (optional)
• 1 tsp instant yeast
• 1½ cups warm water

In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
Add warm water and stir until a sticky dough forms.
Cover and let rest at room temperature for 1–2 hours until doubled.
Transfer to a floured surface, shape gently into a loaf, and place on parchment.
Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 30–35 minutes until golden and hollow-sounding when tapped.
Cool before slicing.
